Expand a Candidate Pool

Enter a tough search. Get platform-ready searches, more places to look, and the requirements worth challenging, in about 30 seconds.

One skill works. Two to five gives sharper searches. The search uses up to 5, and nothing you enter is dropped without asking you first.

No email or account needed. Leave out company and candidate names. What you type is not saved with your name.

Need help rebuilding this search with your team?

Tell me the role you are filling and where the search keeps stalling, and I will help you turn it into something your team can run.

How to expand a candidate pool for a hard-to-fill role

When a search keeps coming back empty, check the definition before you blame the market. A role described too narrowly misses the people who could do it. This tool helps you widen the pool on purpose, without lowering the bar.

Search the titles people actually have

The same job is "Talent Partner" at one company and "Recruiter II" at another. Adding the other titles is usually the fastest way to find people you are missing.

Look one step over

People doing closely related work can often do this one. Treat these as names to discuss with your hiring manager, not confirmed fits.

Question the requirements that shrink the pool

"Seven years" and one specific tool name can remove a lot of people who could do the job. Bring the ones worth questioning to your next intake conversation, with the tradeoff for each.
