Talent Lab by Jackye Clayton

Practical recruiting tools

Power to the recruiter.

The search isn’t working. The hiring manager wants a unicorn. Feedback is “I’ll know it when I see it.”

You’ve got work to do. Pick the problem, get something you can use, and keep moving.

What’s getting in your way?

Intake Shredder

The intake meeting left me with no real search plan

Turn intake notes and job requirements into a clear recruiting search plan, Boolean starting point, and hiring-manager alignment check.

Leave with a search anchor, a friction score and a Boolean starting point.

Create My Intake Plan

Expand a Candidate Pool

I have run out of places to find candidates

Get new sourcing channels, talent pools, target companies, and recruiting ideas based on the role, industry, and location.

Leave with new talent pools, searches to run now and an optional five-day sourcing plan.

Build My Sourcing Strategy

Fix My Search

My Boolean search is broken or returning the wrong people

Paste the search, pick LinkedIn Recruiter, LinkedIn, Google X-ray or your ATS, and say what is wrong.

Leave with a corrected search to copy and one sentence on what was fixed.

Fix My Search

Recruiter Load Balancer

My team has more requisitions than it can carry

Calculate how many recruiters your hiring plan requires and identify workload, staffing gaps, and hiring tradeoffs.

Leave with a staffing estimate, your capacity gap and the tradeoffs.

Calculate Recruiter Capacity

Pushback Builder

The hiring manager is asking for something impossible

Create a professional response to unrealistic requirements, vague candidate feedback, shifting priorities, and impossible hiring timelines.

Leave with words you can copy and send.

Build My Response

Interview Loop Builder

Our interview process is too long and everyone is evaluating different things

Choose who actually needs to interview, assign what each person owns, and build the entire interview process in one business week.

Leave with a five-interview maximum loop, scorecards and the interviews you can cut.

Build My Interview Loop

Talent Map

I need suggested places to look for this talent

Get suggested sourcing channels and talent pools based on the role, industry and location, with reasons to investigate each.

Leave with suggested places to investigate, not verified current market data.

Map This Talent

Diagnostic layer

Not sure which problem you actually have?

The TA Systems Scan looks across six areas of your hiring system to help separate a one-off problem from a repeated pattern or constraint.

Run the TA Systems Scan

For TA leaders

Own the whole hiring number, not one search?

Check whether a hiring plan is deliverable, calculate recruiter capacity and workload, build the case for the business, and see the Talent Lab Systems Sprint.

Talent Lab for Teams

When the scan reveals a broader constraint.

Move from fixing individual searches to deciding what the recruiting system needs next.

Why Jackye

I work where hiring decisions, technology, and human judgment meet.

My background includes leading talent acquisition and DEIB at Textio. My recent work includes teaching practical AI at the YOU × AI Summit, speaking about HR leadership at the Heart of Texas SHRM Conference, and presenting on human brand and leadership at TalentNet Live Austin.

I’ve also contributed my perspective to LinkedIn’s Future of Recruiting report and written for Fast Company about job requirements. My focus is inclusive hiring systems that are practical, measurable, and built into the work—not treated as a separate program.

That’s the perspective behind Talent Lab: understand the problem, question the assumptions, and give people something useful to do next.
