Who Gets Hired in the AI Economy?

The future of work cannot be designed only by the people already in the room.

A practitioner-led inquiry into how AI, hiring systems, skills signals, and employer choices shape access to opportunity, and what accountable leaders must do next.

The problem

AI is changing how people are discovered, screened, assessed, and selected for work. The conversation is often framed as productivity, innovation, and skills. But candidates still face opaque systems, unclear rejection decisions, inaccessible processes, and fewer ways to reach a human being.

This project asks a simpler question: when work changes, who gets access to opportunity, and who is left outside the system?

What the project will produce

  1. 01A listening series with workers, candidates, recruiters, employers, educators, HR-tech builders, and workforce leaders.
  2. 02A public Early Signals Brief sharing what the conversations reveal.
  3. 03A practical Opportunity Accountability Framework for employers and HR-tech organizations.
  4. 04Small, focused roundtables for people working on jobs, skills, AI, and access.
